Let’s talk about the book series that captured my body, mind, and soul. After I was done with the book series, I couldn’t stop thinking about how good it was and how I wished there would be a movie or series out already to see if my imagination would match what movie creatives and directors thought it would be like.
You might be wondering what I am talking about. Throne of Glass is a book series with seven books in total and one extra sauce on the side book to give a little background. The writer of this epic book series is Sarah J. Mass, and she has a great sense of imagination, even with her other book series “A court of thorns and roses” (we shall be discussing this one soon). The books are numbered from Throne of Glass, Crown of Midnight, Heir of Fire, Queen of Shadows, Empire of Storms, Tower of Dawn, and finally, the Kingdom of Ash. The little on the side sauce book is the Assassin’s Blade.
Do the book titles already give you a hint of what the story is about? Okay then, let’s get into it; the book is of a fantasy genre and follows our favorite assassin’s journey famously known as Celaena Sardothien as secretly known as the princess Aelin Ashryver Galathynius and future queen of the kingdom of Terrasen. The book follows her journey from right when an evil king from Adarlan murders her parents. To how she is adopted and trained as an assassin, the friends and relationships she forms throughout her life who come in handy when she decided to take back her kingdom, her love life, and other up and down turmoil that shape who she is. The main characters are human, Fae, witches, and the greatest evil of all, the valgs.
It is a great book series that I highly recommend to take up and immerse yourself into it.

Tiktok is a social media platform full of all kinds of talents, from lip-syncing to dancing. Several people have gone TikTok viral and famous within days while others take time, and this should not discourage you, and before you get there, I will show you several ways to navigate that path.
Upload quality videos with good lighting
This does not mean you go shopping for a 500$ dollars’ worth Canon camera; your phone camera will do, you can easily find an affordable phone with a great camera. Another thing to consider while at this is good lighting, you also don’t need to invest in shooting gears and light rings, select a right window in your house or use a great place outside to achieve this,
Post consistently
The most recommended number of posting is three to two times a day, especially when starting. This is because the more people see you on the ‘for you page,’ the more likely they are to be interested in your content, however, if you cannot manage this, once every two days is still an option.
Use relevant hashtags
You have probably seen the most commonly used hashtags on TikTok, #fyp #foryoupage #viral, and several others. However, I am here to let you know that you would be better off using other hashtags relevant to your video. What do I mean with this, these commonly used hashtags are overly saturated, and your video might get lost in the sea of the many others posted, so if your video is about natural hair it is best to stick to that niche e.g., #naturalhair or if it an educative post about TikTok use #tiktoktips
Make original content
Please do not copy other people’s ideas, unless when it is a trend which you also have to be creative about.
Hop on trends before they become a trend
This can be achieved by scrolling through the for-you page, taking note of a trending sound or video, and seeing several people doing it, then it will soon be a trend, hop on it, and get creative.

My Natural Hair journey started 3 years ago in the summer of 2017 after I noticed my relaxed hair was getting shorter and shorter with every blow dry I had. FYI I am not one into plaiting my hair that often 😉.

So my intial step was not voluntary, but I am so glad that it happened. Sometimes good things come off of very bad situations( like how the Corona thing gonna turn out, all good in God’s timing) .

Anyway i was lucky enough that one of my closest friend was a Naturalista already, so she took me “essential shopping”. Big up Jojo! She did my first Wash day , all the way from Shampooing(reminds me of that Nyeri woman trending who said Champoo😝) back to business though, then to Conditioning and finally to doing some twists, infamously known as “matutas”.
“Migrating from Relaxed hair to Natural hair is known as “Transitioning”. You can either do a big chop i.e. Shave all of your relaxed hair and grow your all natural hair afresh or (as i opted) , transition slowly. This entails trimming your split ends(relaxed ends,easily noticeable) on a regular basis, i used to trim mine after every time i had a washday, mostly every once in a month. It didn’t take long to get rid of the split ends.

Now to the tea, Maintaining natural hair is Expensive as hell!Wueh… requires hard work & dedication!… There is some truth in this but a frequent application of Natural Aloe Vera, some Avocado & Water will keep you going.
Just make sure you have a Shampoo(meant for natural hair, should be Sulphate free) , a conditioner(preferably a leave-in Conditioner) & some natural hair gel for those slay days. And imagine you good to go.
The very basic of the products to have and start with.
Ooooh!And remembered to do your regular hair trims,i do mine annually, and it’s best done by a hair specialist(we have so many natural hair salons nowadays. You wouldn’t want to end up with uneven hair length.
Got a lot to choose from. I usually use the green one(with olive oil) or the clear one (with water).

I took me an year and…, multiple cancellations,a break up text, disrespect,heartbreak,feeling like I wasn’t good enough to realize that he never really deserved me.
I know realizing doesn’t mean moving on but imma take this, day by day and pray to God to help me move on.
As I write this my heart is heavy,I am angry, I feel this uneasy feeling of a hurting soul and a heaven burden on me.
I wish I could erase all of him from me.
I can’t wait for the day that I’ve finally moved on.
I have this part of me that wanna get my revenge, prove to him that he ain’t shit but I won’t.
The part of me that wishes everything could have worked out, I need to let go of that.
So much to feel, so much to sort, I got miles to go before I finally heal so please God help me.
Edit: Few Months Later
I have moved on from most of this but I have those days when I remember the best parts of him. Days I wanna stalk the ex of his ex, days when I wanna see all his Facebook memories to his high school days. Days when I wanna just sent a risky “hey” message. You know just those days. I really hate them coz it takes all of me to just move past them, and I am left wondering “will I ever really move on”, “what will it ever take?” “Does he ever think of me as much as I think of him” .
Just some late night thoughts that needs penning down to almost get rid of them.
And the reason or is it reasons, is what I am about to get down to.

The show start on a very intriguing scene and you will be like, finally a fairy tale love story is about to unfold. Only to be disapppionted that it actually is an affair, hurting,right?
The Sistas is centered around four best friends and the people in their lives, mostly men they are seeing and the drama that comes with love and dating, their careers and how their friendship evolve over time.
The show airs on BET, it premiered on 23 October 2019 and still showing. It was created,written and directed by Tyler Perry who was also the executive producer along with Michelle Sneed and Mark E Swinton. It is on it’s first season which so far has shown 16 episodes till now.
Andi Barnes (K J Smith) is a lawyer in a very prestigious firm that handles divorce cases and her first case goes really well that she gets a referral. And to her shock the referral she gets is the wife of the man she’s been having an affair with. She tries to recuse herself from this case but her boss is hearing none of that and makes it clear to her that she doesn’t have a choice but to take it. Her relationship with Gary Marshall Borders (Chido Nwokocha) have their issues especially because the he keeps on promising to leave his wife and be with her and never does really.
Karen Mott (Ebony Obsidian) is Andi’s closest friend out of the group. She is a hair stylist and owns her own salon, the shows starts with her breaking up with her three years boyfriend, Zac (Devale Ellis) who won’t stop cheating on her with instagram models. Haha!she’s no girl to mess with, she got a hot tongue and epic comebacks. And on one of her supermarket rounds she meets a guy whom their first encounter is not the politest and they both have a rigorous exchange. Aaron Carter (Kevin A. Walton) is the guy she meets and he’s going through a phase with his 15 years wife who just recently has cheated on him. And he is one man who sticks to his principles because it doesn’t take him even a week before the divorce is cleared. He insists that he can forgive anything else but not cheating which is something he had stated earlier on in their marriage. And now his eyes are set on Karen.
Our other girl is Sabrina Hollins (Novi Brown) she works in a bank where she is the Manager and her colleague Maurice (Brian Jordan Jr) who is gay and has pretty much a lot to contribute in Sabrina’s life. She meets her man in the bank, Calvin Rodney (Anthony Dalton) is a frequent customer to the bank in the hope that Sabrina finally notices him. But he is very friendly with Maurice as well, and the squad comes to a conclusion that he is gay. Eventually he manages to score a date with Sabrina and several dates later they get intimate and the night doesn’t turn out as expected. This makes Sabrina doubt his sexuality even more. Another incident is when they are out on a lunch date and Calvin is extra friendly with a gay friend,where they even exchange a lip to lip kiss. She starts pulling away and it takes Calvin mediating through Maurice to get things back on track. He tells her that the reason why he is so open with gay people is because he grew up with two fathers and do not judge people by their sexuality but by who they are.
Danni King (Mignon Baker) is our forth girl, and she doesn’t mince her word. She works at the airport with Karen’s ex boyfriend Zac. After Zac break up with Karen he has nowhere to live and opts for the Shelter which Danni finds out through a colleague, a funny conversation that is. And out of the goodness of her heart and ofcos help with the rent she offers Zac to come and stay with her. This stay sparks off different feelings. Zac points out that the reason why Danni always covers up her relationship status with humor is because she is afraid to open up and get attached to anyone.
Throughout the season we see the girls try to reevaluate their relationship statuses. Ask themselves questions and continue to reassure themselves that they deserve better.
We see alot of growth in them, the drama continues to unfold with every episode.

Ambitions is a TV drama series that premiered on June 18 2019, airing on OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network) at 10 P.M. eastern time. It has one season with 18 episodes, the show is created by Jamey Giddens and produced by Will Packer courtesy of the Will Packer productions and Lionsgate Television.
The show revolves around the lifes of the Carlisle,Lancaster and the Purifoys families.
Stephanie Carlisle (Robin Givens) is a formidable woman who believes in enacting her revenge where it hurts most. She’s married to Atlanta’s mayor Evan Lancaster (Brian J. White) and their marriage a’int the normal fairy tale we’d expect. Evan has several mistresses, Bella Tru (Erica Page) is one of them with whom they have a son together and a lot of drama. Their major fight is about the footballer star Bella is seeing, Roderick. Bella is a fashion designer who is insta famous, an has an E-Commerce store but wants ro grow her career and open a physical store with the help of Evan, he is not so fortcoming on this though. Evan and Stephanie have a daughter Carly who Stephanie finds out is gay and seeing their family long time Nemesis’s daughter Lori, her mother is not happy.
The Carlisle/Purifoy battle has existed for a long time but awakened when Stephanie’s sister, Tracy dies from an overdose by a drug produced by Purifoy Pharmaceuticals. Stephanie takes upon herself to file a $500,000 suit against the Purifoys whom General council is Stephanie’s long ago Lover Titus Hughes (Kendrick Cross) who recently moved to Atlanta from Birmnigham with his wife Amara hughes (Essence Atkins) who was a Sorority sister with Stephanie back in law school but hqve been beefing since Amara “stole” Titus from her . Amara is a US attorney with the Department of Justice and the case she’s working on is to dig up the Mayor’s dirt, this investigation brings up a lot other discoveries.
The reason for the Hughes move is Infidelity drama. Amara cheats on her husband with her colleague Daman Collins (Alexander Mulzac) who through Stephanie’s plot and blackmail is forced to move to Atlanta. This moves leads to a lot of tension between the Hughes who were just starting to build back their marriage.
Another key star is Rondell Lancaster (Brely Evan), who is Evan’s Sister. Another formidable woman who is determined to fight for her neighbourhood and especially her Mama’s Restaurant, Thelmas Place, against demolition from Greg Peters (Gino Anthony Pesi) construction company. This fight between the two spikes a lot in the show where the Carlisle are on Greg Peter’s side, and they don’t play clean in their ways of solving issues.
The show however good and intriguing as it is, unfortunately got cancelled and won’t be priemiering for a second season. The rumours were confirmed by one of the show’s cast Brian J White on his instagram page who is sad to see it cancelled but grateful to all who supported the show. He continues to say that the show opened may doors for him.
